COVID-19: operational update

Like many organisations, we changed our procedures during the COVID-19 pandemic, to keep our people and our customers safe. All our ongoing activities are being carried out in line with government guidance and we’ll update our social media accounts with relevant news where necessary.

Please see below a number of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs). If you cannot find the information you require here,  please contact us on 01738 562 068 or via email at info@glazeandsave.co.uk.

  • How can I book a survey?

Please complete our contact form to arrange a survey.

For any information about our surveys please read our FAQs and if you still have questions, call us on 01738 562068.or email us at: info@glazeandsave.co.uk

  • What safety measures have you taken to ensure surveys are safe for me and my family?

We redesigned our survey process to minimize risk, and customer feedback on our virtual surveys has been so positive that we see these being part of our process on a regular basis!

Making use of programs such as Zoom, WhatsApp and Skype, our surveyor will be happy to discuss your requirements with you.

To ensure that each window or door can be evaluated, we recommend that a mobile device is utilised for this, allowing each window to be viewed by our surveyor. Photos shared by email prior to the survey can work if you have a fixed device.

Our Surveyor will also explain to you how to provide us measurements of each window. These measurement will then be used to provide you with an estimate.

We will use props to allow you to see our product range. Samples can also be posted.

Please note we will not carry out a survey if anyone in the household is self-isolating or has been asked to shield.

Only if a virtual survey is not possible or if we are unable to obtain the information required, will we arrange a physical survey.  To ensure this is carried out in a safe manner the following processes have been put in place.

    • Each surveyor must evaluate their health at the start of each day and report if they are healthy to work. This involves advising of their temperature.
    • Each surveyor will have a personal supply of hand sanitizing gel, face masks and disposable tissues.
    • Each vehicle will also have additional stock of PPE as well as soap, paper towels, antibacterial wipes etc.
    • The surveyor will carry with them additional disposal face masks that can be given to the household.
    • Any discussions (which will be kept short) should be held in a well-ventilated area maintaining the 2 metre distance.
    • Before visiting any home the surveyor will contact you to discuss how social distancing will work.
    • We ask that when the surveyor is taking measurement/details of the survey that they are left alone with internal doors open before arrival.
    • We will limit the amount of survey tools we will bring into the home. Stock samples will be available if required.
    • A document detailing our full Covid-19 action plan can sent on request by emailing us at info@glazeandsave.co.uk

Customer testimonial

“ We found Tanya extremely helpful and efficient. The secondary glazing was also fitted in a few hours, by a friendly and competent team. With its magnetic strips disguised behind appropriately coloured wood-effect tape, and matched colours, it is next to invisible.

All in all, we would very thoroughly recommend the Glaze and Save system for anyone seeking a warmer, greener, and quieter home life.”
